House of Representatives Cybersecurity Portfolio Management

Problem Statement

The government client does not have repeatable project management processes. Because of this, they are not able to realize any economies of scale through program and/or portfolio management. Reporting on projects is intermittent at the project level and not tied to organizational strategy.

Excelicon Solution

Excelicon conducted a full evaluation of the current project management protocols that laid the foundation for the project management capability maturity model, ultimately leading to full portfolio management capabilities. The multi-pronged approach includes the creation of standard project management templates and tools; repeatable processes that include identification of projects, project prioritization, project selection, project complexity analysis, project completion, and reporting to stakeholders and executives.

Client Benefit

The integrated approach allows the client to simultaneously advance themselves along multiple areas of the capability maturity model. As opposed to addressing the client deficiencies in a vacuum, the client is seeing results faster and is able to achieve more faster.
