Mr. Castleman serves on the Board of Advisors of Excelicon. He has over 25 years of experience in the business, government technology, and financial sectors.
He currently is an independent homeland security consultant for his consultancy, WRC Associates. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Castleman served as a senior executive with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Being appointed COO in 2003, he was responsible for the day-to-day agency operation to include oversight of response, recovery, preparedness, and national security coordination activities for the United States and its territories. While Mr. Castleman was COO at FEMA, he also served as the head of the U.S. Civil Emergency Planning Delegation to NATO, addressing the allied nations at the NATO Council. He was a lead federal official for the Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy during the initial days following the incident and provided senior leadership on numerous natural disasters.
Mr. Castleman also served on the advisory board for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, a nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers.
